SHOES - Moon Boots Hit the Catwalk

At JW Anderson's London Fashion Week show this month, a special footwear collaboration with ALDO Rise was unveiled... and the result? Well, they looked like moonboots to me. Take a look at the video above to see the collection for AW12 including the interesting choice of footwear. It might not quite be the season for it, but you never know when this British weather will take a turn for the worse. We've had snow before as late as April so the warm weather from today may not be hear to stay (sorry).

If you are quite partial to Moon Boots, Spartoo has the real thing. Featuring original designs from the '70s, they'll give you the authentic look with the warmth and comfort they were (and still are) renowned for. There are currently just the two styles still available for men, but one of them is black and white like the ones in the show.

Personally, I think they look really bulky, but I guess you'd have to try them on to see exactly how they would look and feel. Chloe and D&G already sent Moon Boots down the catwalk for the girls so it looks like this is one style of shoe that's here to stay... for a while at least.

FASHION - Hackett at The BAFTAs

Menswear brand Hackett London was the Official Menswear Stylist for the Orange British Academy Film Awards which took place yesterday. As such, many of the high-profile male guests were wearing Hackett. These established actors and industry guests showed that timeless style looks great no matter your age. I like that Anil added a splash of colour to his tux with a red bow tie. The other men pictured here kept things simple, but when it comes to black-tie-dressing, that's all you really need to do - choose a classic style and make sure it fits well.

Anil Kapoor wore a Hackett Mayfair dinner suit, dress shirt and red polka dot bow tie.

Jim Broadbent was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in recognition of his performance in Iron Lady. Jim wore a bespoke suit by Hackett.

Richard E Grant was wearing the Hackett Midnight blue peak lapel velvet jacket, dinner trousers, shirt and bow tie.

Stephen Fry, who hosted the event, wore a bespoke dinner suit, shirt and Hackett Mayfair pocket square.

VIDEO - Alex Thomson Rides the Keel of HUGO BOSS

When I was invited by Hugo Boss to experience a 60ft racing yacht on the Solent last summer, I was shown a postcard of the boat's skipper, Alex Thomson, riding the keel of the boat wearing a Hugo Boss suit. They've been hoping to recreate the event and capture it on video and recently they managed to do just that. That would be the evidence to quiet any skeptics over whether or not the original image had been enhanced.

It's not an easy task though, we're talking 8 tonnes of carbon fibre yacht, a 255 horsepower jet ski and one crazy guy in a (very nice) suit.

The team behind the stunt say: "to sail at the right speed to keep the keel out of the water for long enough for Alex to get on it, you need 18 knots of wind, a slight sea state and a seriously cool-headed skipper."

Rather him than me, that's all I can say!

FASHION - What's New at Oki-Ni

I look forward to receiving email updates from Oki-Ni, mainly because I love the way they photograph product, and also because they have an exciting mix of brands for men. Much of it is at the higher end of the scale when it comes to price, but there are some things that are worth investing in. Take a look at some of the latest arrivals below...

Dr Martens have arrived featuring a collection with fabulously on-trend white soles. Find out more about the latest Dr Martens First and Forever campaign over at The Style PA.

Discover a range of classic Levi's pieces, including stylish shirts perfect for weekends in spring.

These neon brothel creepers from Underground for Mugler are sure to make you stand out from the crowd, if that's the look you're after.

Nonnative is effortless stylish and easy to wear premium casualwear. I love these brogue shoes from the collection.

Paul Smith is the latest designer brand to arrive at Oki-Ni featuring bright colours and bold prints.

Rick Owens  has a mixture of staples and statement pieces. Some of the items are for the more fashion-daring, while others would be at home with your Levi's shirt above. My advice... be brave.

VIDEO - Nigel Sylvester for G-Shock

Nigel Sylvester is a BMX icon and has teamed up with G-Shock for this fab video showcasing his skills. It's his tricks and slick, street style that make him stand out as a perfect ambassador for the brand. Sylvester's Youtube videos have notched up over 10 million views so naturally, the brands are queuing up to team with him.

Nigel says: "When I'm out riding my bike I need a timepiece that complements me. G-Shock watches perform well under the extreme conditions in which I ride and look good when I'm just chilling off my bike as well."

Performance and style... well, that's what we all want right!
