When it comes to sports shoes, Nike has always been my favourite brand. I remember my parents going to New York when I was younger and me desperately wanting them to get pairs of trainers that we couldn't get here in the UK. I ended up with some dark blue and black Nike trainers which lasted for years and were super-comfy. What I love right now, is that Nike do retro high-top trainers so well, and teamed with a great pair of jeans they can create a great urban-cool look for casual weekends.

Red, black and white is a classic combination. These are part of the Nike 6.0 skate collection, so wear them with baggy denim, a tee and hooded shirt.
A splash of lime green gives black and white a fresh update. The grey accent at the back just enhances the retro, '90s feel.
For a softer look, white, grey and a vibrant blue make a stylish combination. Wear these with dark denim and a crisp, white tee.
