SHOES - Men's Espadrilles Trend

Looking for effortless summer shoes that won't break the bank? One rising trend is for espadrilles. I remember holidays in Spain when I was younger and every supermarket sold this continental footwear favourite (and my dad usually bought some). Now, it's a look that's considered cool and these shoes go brilliantly with turned up hem chinos or linen shorts. The brand Toms has definitely been a factor in bringing this style of shoes back into our shopping bags, but luckily, they aren't the only ones doing this style now. There are plenty of ways to take on the trend in a way that suits your own style.

I've picked out three pairs currently available at Spartoo to help you get the look, but in a subtle way that will keep your look stylish.

Keep it laid back and cool with this khaki espadrilles from Pepe Jeans. These are ideal for wearing with casual outfits like shorts and tees once the sunshine comes. They've got a real backpacker vibe and I love the contrast stripes.

Style it up with a denim hue with these espadrille pumps from Firetrap. These laced, pump style espadrilles look so comfortable to wear. Try them with your skinny jeans and a plain white t-shirt.

Go for classic black with this pair of shoes by Penguin. Great for working the day to evening look on holidays. Try with linen trousers and a blazer for a slightly preppier ensemble.
